In short
- We only collect what you type into the brief form, to reply to you and follow up on your project.
- Your requests are stored in a database hosted in the European Union (Paris).
- No advertising cookies, no trackers, no selling: only your display preferences stay in your browser.

01Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Koutiva Labs LLC, publisher of koutivalabs.llc. For any question about your data, write to hello@koutivalabs.llc.
02What we collect
When you send the brief form, we receive:
- your contact details: name, email address and, if you fill it in, your company;
- your project: project types, budget range, desired timeline and your message;
- the context of the request: site language, the page you sent it from, the site you came from and any campaign parameters (UTM), so we know how you found us.
Your IP address is only used, while the form is being sent, to block abusive submissions: it is not stored with your request. Like any host, Vercel may keep technical logs (including IP addresses) for security and to keep the service running. If you email us directly, we receive your address and the content of your message.
We never ask for sensitive data, and nothing else is collected while you browse.
03Why we use it
- To answer your request and prepare an estimate or a quote: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).
- To follow up on our conversation (meetings, proposals, reminders) in our internal client-tracking tool: our legitimate interest in managing our business relationships (article 6(1)(f)).
- To protect the form against spam and abuse: legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f)).
No automated newsletter, no ad profiling, and we never sell or rent your data.
04Where it is stored
Only the Koutiva Labs team can access your data. We rely on three providers, acting on our behalf:
Some of these providers are based in the United States. When data is transferred there, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, depending on the provider).
05How long we keep it
Prospect requests are kept for 3 years after our last contact, then deleted. If we work together, the data the project needs is kept for the whole relationship, then for as long as our legal obligations (accounting in particular) require. Submissions identified as spam are deleted.
06Cookies and local storage
The site uses no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics and no trackers. It only remembers a few preferences in your browser’s local storage
(localStorage), which are never sent to us:
- the language you chose (
kl-lang) and, if you closed it, the language suggestion (kl-lang-hint); - your animation setting (
kl-motion) and when you last saw the intro animation (kl-intro), so it does not replay on every visit.
Session storage (sessionStorage) also keeps your position on the page when you switch language, for the length of your visit. These items are needed for features you ask for and
do not require consent. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
07Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data and to object to its processing, as well as the right to restrict processing and to data portability. To exercise them, write to hello@koutivalabs.llc: we reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
08Security
Traffic to and from the site is encrypted (HTTPS). The request-tracking tool is restricted to a closed list of authenticated administrators, and the database access keys never leave our servers.
